In In-furrow mode, the deep plough is usually equipped with a rear skimmer (mini-plough body). Its functions include:
Residue Burial: Surface weeds and straw can be buried deep within the furrow by the rear skimmer.
Layered Tillage Technology: The skimmer first turns the upper soil layer (25-30 cm), while the main body works only on the layer below (below 25-30 cm). This effectively reduces the workload on the main body. By reducing the effective depth of the open furrow, it minimizes the tractor’s tilt angle during in-furrow operation, preventing rollovers and optimizing power output.
